Napheesa Collier signs supermax contract to return to the Lynx

The Chargers won a 3-team golf match at Arbor Crossing Golf Course with a score of 193, defeating North Decatur and Waldron. The host Lions finished second with a season-low score of 197, while Waldron placed third with 213.
Arbor Crossing Golf Course in Connersville hosted North Decatur, Waldron and Rushville for a 3-team match Friday. In a top 6, count the top 4 format, the Chargers won the team competition with a 193. The host Lions took second place in the match with a new team low for the season of 197. Waldron was third with 213.
The Chargers were led by Micah Smith (season low) and Owen Arnold (career low), each carding a 47. Aiden Luttel shot a 48 and Scott Morford provided the fourth score with a 51. Kobe Hoeing and Brayden Yeager each played in the varsity match, ending the night with 53 and 56 respectively.
Rushville was led by Ryder Flannery with a 48. Landon Cain was a shot back with a personal best 49. Tressler Owens carded another personal best with 50. Kyle Jacobs also finished with 50. Gavin Owen had a 58 and Ty Ellis had a 66.
Three of the junior varsity Chargers got to participate as well. Adam Whatley shot a 53. Cooper Land ended with a 63 and Cal Shelton shot a 68.
In JV roles for Rushville, Eli Newhouse fired a 51. Madden Meek carded a 54. Garret Ray came in with 57.
Batesville
Batesville (326) finish 12th out of 23 teams in Saturday’s Yorktown Invitational at TPC Woodland Trails in Yorktown.
Center Grove Red won the team title with 290. Carmel Gold was next with 294. Noblesville Black had a 299 followed by Pendleton Heights 308, New Palestine 311, Cathedral 312, Carmel Blue 313, Noblesville Gold 316, Mt Vernon 320, Delta 323, Yorktown Green 324, Batesville 326, Tipton 331, Eastbrook 332, Guerin Catholic 340, Yorktown White 341, Center Grove White 342, Heritage Christian 347, Richmond 350, New Castle 363, Shelbyville 363, Jay County 385 and Muncie Central 407.
The Bulldogs were led by Ian Hixson with 75. Jon Moody was next with 79. Cooper Phebus finished with 84. Landon Raver had an 88 and Caleb Laker carded 93.
The Chargers finished with a score of 193 in the 3-team golf match.
Micah Smith and Owen Arnold led the Chargers, each scoring 47, with Smith achieving a season low and Arnold a career low.
North Decatur finished second with a new team low score of 197.
