Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez continues to make history, as he became the first Guardian (formerly the Indians) to hit a home run against every major league team. Ramirez’s home run came against Atlanta Braves left-hander Martin Perez in the top of the first inning on April 11.
25 active big leaguers have also hit a home run against all 30 major league teams, with Boston Red Sox shortstop Trevor Story the last to do so. Story hit his 30th home run against the Athletics on September 8, 2025.
Other notable players to achieve the feat are: Los Angeles Dodgers two-way star Shohei Ohtani, New York Mets outfielder Juan Soto, and Texas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager.
The 33-year-old also made Guardians history by playing in his franchise-leading 1,620 games on April 6.
After signing with the Guardians as an amateur free agent in 2009, Ramirez has spent his entire 14-year career with Cleveland. In 1,623 games, the seven-time All-Star has 1,676 hits, 401 doubles, 43 triples, 286 home runs, 955 RBI, and a lifetime batting average of .278.
Ramirez will also likely finish his career with 300+ stolen bases (289) and come close to 1000 walks (673). Also, a six-time Silver Slugger, Ramirez has never won a Gold Glove despite being an above-average third baseman (3 defensive runs saved).
Ramirez has also never won an MVP Award, even though he's finished in the top three (four times), top five (six times), and the top 10 (eight times).
