CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Tyler Williams doubled, homered and had four RBIs, Jeffrey Wehler had two hits and three RBIs and the Boxcars won their third straight against the Dirty Birds.
Hagerstown (7-2) remained one game ahead of Long Island atop the Atlantic League's North Division.
Jared Carr, a Saint James School graduate and former Washington County high school hitter of the year, had three hits for the Boxcars. Bryce Cannon also had three hits, including a double. Robert Brooks had two hits and two RBIs, and Osvaldo Abreu added two hits.
Hagerstown mashed 15 hits in the game. The Boxcars have lit up Charleston pitching for 33 runs in the last three games.
Thomas Kane got the win in relief with four strong innings, allowing one unearned run on two hits and a walk with five strikeouts. Jack Eisenbarger struck out six and walked five in a two-inning start.

The bullpen was once again solid for the Boxcars, allowing two runs over the final six innings. Alex Mack got the win, striking out three in his two relief innings, and Cole Roland earned his third save with a scoreless ninth.
