Harry Maguire believes that Leny Yoro has the potential to be remembered as one of Manchester United's "all-time" greats, despite a slow start in English soccer. The French center-back arrived at the club in a £52 ($67.6) million transfer from Lille in 2024.
While Yoro had previously attracted attention from Spanish powerhouses Real Madrid, United moved decisively to secure his services. The 20-year-old made just 21 Premier League appearances during his inaugural season, partly due to fitness setbacks, and although he's featured more regularly this time around, he's still only accumulated 18 league starts.
Nonetheless, fellow center-back Maguire has expressed confidence in Yoro's future at Old Trafford and suggests he could eventually rank among the finest defenders the Premier League has witnessed, via The Mirror.

In conversation with DHL Express, the England international said: "Leny Yoro has all the attributes, the talent, and the potential to have whatever career he wants. It's exceptional to see someone playing center-back in the Premier League at his age, especially at a club like Manchester United.
"He's doing an amazing job and there is still so much more he can improve on. Hopefully, in 10 or 15 years' time, we're sitting here putting his name in that bracket of the all-time greats."
While Maguire anticipates great things from Yoro, he has also identified another United prospect for a bright future. Ayden Heaven joined the club from Premier League rivals Arsenal in February last year and it seems he has already caught Maguire's attention.
He added: "I've been very impressed with Ayden Heaven since he broke into the team. In five or six years' time, I believe he and Leny Yoro could be the central defensive partnership for this club. The talent is there; now it's down to them to keep working hard and pushing. They both have amazing futures ahead of them here."

Heaven has made 24 appearances in total for United since his arrival, having been given just one first-team opportunity during his spell with Arsenal. He remains under contract with the club until 2029.
Both Heaven and Yoro are positioned to receive continued mentorship from Maguire in the coming years. The England defender was previously set to be out of contract at Old Trafford this summer but signed a new deal with the club earlier this year to extend his stay until 2027 with the option of an additional season.
