Central Kitsap softball player Addie Hasty and Olympic baseball player Toby Moore are the Kitsap Sun athletes of the week for March 30-April 3, selected by readers in an online poll.
Athletes are nominated by their respective coaches, and the top vote-getters for both boys and girls are declared the winners.
Hasty helped Central Kitsap win three games, collecting eight hits in 11 at-bats while knocking in three runs and raising her season average to .583. She collected 285 votes. Other nominees in girls sports were Olympic's Sophia Brown (231 votes) and North Kitsap's Malia Wendt (93).
Moore pitched a perfect game across five innings, striking out 11 in a victory against Foss. He collected 104 votes. Other nominees in boys sports were Central Kitsap's Mana Voss (89 votes) and Leo Bosh (83 votes), North Kitsap's Sebastian Moran (67 votes) and South Kitsap's Brody Gadberry (37 votes) and Isaac Benjamin (28 votes).
The next online poll will appear April 22.
