Chelsea have sacked another head coach â this time after just 100 days in charge â so itâs the perfect time for pundits to stick the boot in on the club and their comical âprojectâ and ownership.
Gary Neville is covering some games for Sky Sports tonight, and had a chance to speak before kick off about the situation at Stamford Bridge.
âThe six, eight year contracts you see, itâs almost laughable from the start, whether itâs for managers or players,â the former Man U defender said following the dismissal of Liam Rosenior 4 months into his 6 year deal.
âThe owners havenât got a clue what theyâre doing⊠theyâre all over the place. I just donât get it really. You get what you deserve in football⊠itâs a reflection upon them, not on the coach.â
Like the rest of us, heâs been saying this since the start, and heâs not going to change that opinion now.
