The Oklahoma City Thunder will have three draft picks in the 2026 NBA Draft: No. 12 from the LA Clippers, No. 17 from the Philadelphia 76ers, and No. 38 from the Dallas Mavericks. This continues their trend of acquiring valuable draft currency while maintaining success in the league.

Chilling the day after they picked up a 3-0 series lead over the Los Angeles Lakers with a 131-108 Game 3 win, the Oklahoma City Thunder have figured out their draft currency at the 2026 NBA draft. It's become a yearly tradition this decade as the reigning NBA champions have enjoyed the best of both worlds.
The Thunder will get the No. 12 pick of the 2026 NBA draft. It was given by them via the LA Clippers. They will also get the No. 17 pick via the Philadelphia 76ers. In the second round, OKC will get the No. 38 pick via the Dallas Mavericks.
Even though the Thunder have had other teams' draft picks over the last handful of draft cycles, none have jumped up in the lottery. Just poor luck. They've had three No. 12 picks in the last four years. Besides that, not a whole ton else. Hasn't mattered, though. OKC has dominated the NBA with just one top-five pick on the roster in Chet Holmgren.
It'll be interesting to see how the Thunder handle the 2026 NBA draft. They surely won't bring in a three-play draft haul. They simply don't have enough roster spots for that. Some alternatives include packaging draft picks to move up the draft or punting 2026 draft picks for more down the road.
