The Springfield area has announced its girls track and field state qualifiers for 2026, with top performers advancing to the state meet at O’Brien Field in Charleston from May 21 to May 23.

What to know: Chatham Glenwood’s Ali Londrigan swept the 1600- and 3200-meter runs. Fellow long-distance runner Sophie Rentmeister won the 800 by .35 seconds, while also qualifying in the 1600 where she took third place. Londrigan took fourth in the 1600 and fifth in the 3200 at last year’s 3A state finals.

What to know: Pana’s Reagan McGlauchlen won the discus throw with a personal best. She reached as high as fourth place in the 2024 state finals with a distance of 126-11.
