The next phase in the Delta Center overhaul has already begun.
Smith Entertainment Group, which owns the Delta Center, the Utah Jazz and the Utah Mammoth, among other assets, released its plans Friday morning regarding the overhaul of the arena, which became necessary when the Mammoth arrived.
The goal is to eliminate all single-net-view seats for hockey without compromising the viewing experience for basketball.
Hereās what SEG has planned for the summers of 2026 and 2027.
The 2026 renovations will focus on the north/northeast end of the arena, which is closest to the home bench for both sports.
SEGās plan is to install terraces in the upper bowl, creating multi-tiered seating. Renderings shared by SEG appear to show four terraces, beginning above the existing suites on the fourth level of the building.
Additionally, the 2026 renovations include the addition of āgondolasā on both sides of the arena. These are above all the other seats and will hold approximately 200 fans at a time.
The parking garage, which has been under construction since the summer of 2025, will be completed in 2026 as well. According to the information released by the team in April 2025, it will hold approximately 450 vehicles.
The renovations aim to eliminate all single-net-view seats for hockey while maintaining a quality viewing experience for basketball.
The Delta Center is owned by Smith Entertainment Group, which also owns the Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth.
Renovations became necessary with the arrival of the Utah Mammoth, prompting updates to improve the arena's seating and viewing arrangements.
The next phase of renovations at the Delta Center has already begun as of the announcement made on Friday morning.

Similar to āThe Wallā at the Intuit Dome, where the Los Angeles Clippers play, the 2027 Delta Center renovation phase will connect the lower and upper bowls on the south/southwest end of the arena into one big slope.
Thatās the end closest to the visitorsā bench for both hockey and basketball.
āYouāre going to feel that intensity from the floor, you know, all the way up, so that that visiting team can really, they can feel the fans right on top of them,ā said Jazz president Jim Olson, who oversees the renovation project, in a video shared by SEG. āItās going to create even a greater home advantage than what we already have.ā
The 2027 phase will also include changes to the concession stands and will also increase capacity of the bathrooms and the suites.
Crews will begin an interior design refresh on the suites in 2026, but that wonāt be finished until 2027.
