The following composite is devised based on a formula that combines the rankings of Perfect Game, Baseball America, Prep Baseball Report, MaxPreps and USA TODAY High School Sports, earning a points total that provides an industry-wide look at the top teams in the country.

Venice (FL) and Tomball (TX) are neck-and-neck at the top, separated by a mere 3.4 points. Every outlet has these two in the top two spots; MaxPreps is the only one to have Tomball ahead of Venice.
The rankings themselves are not completely uniform, and it's worth noting that Baseball America does not include IMG Academy (Bradenton, FL) in its rankings.
