The 2026 spring sports regular season is coming to a close as teams are starting to look toward playoff action in the coming days and weeks.
Northern Section baseball teams will kick off the postseason with play-in games for Divisions II and III starting on Tuesday, May 12. The brackets for Divisions IV-VII have not yet been released. NSCIF softball teams will have one more game to solidify their playoff standing with the final day of the regular season set for Tuesday.
Track and field teams across the Northern Section will compete in divisional championships before sections begin on May 22. Boys golf will also be competing in divisional tournaments on Monday, with NSCIF Masters and the NorCal championships taking place in the coming weeks.
Boys tennis will top things off with individual championships on Monday and Tuesday. The NorCal championships will take place between May 20-24 — the final regional competition of the season.
