Despite rainy conditions, eight high school athletes excelled in their games on Thursday. Notable performances included Joe Brent and Brady Sacca from Assabet Valley boys lacrosse, each scoring four goals.
Stay dry. While rain ravaged the high school sports schedule Thursday, these eight athletes found a way to shine.

They each scored four times in a 19-3 win over Worcester. Logan Nystrom put away a hat trick for Assabet (6-9, 4-4 CMAC B), and Jayden Alvarez, Shane Monaco and Luke Ryan each found the net twice.
He pushed out 36 assists with 4 kills and 2 blocks in a 3-0 win over Newton North. Mike Costa had 12 kills for the Redhawks (12-2), while Evan Katz put down seven and Matt Andrade (three blocks) added six.
They each found the net five times in a 16-12 win over Northbridge for the Eagles (6-9-1, 3-6 CMAC A).
They combined for a shutout in a 13-0 victory against Dedham. Will Iantosca put away a hat trick for the HIllers (10-4, 8-3 TVL).

He scored four goals in a 15-2 win against Sharon. Ryder Hanchett (assist) and Quinn Kielty each put away three goals, and CHarlie Ballarino added a goal and two assists for the Panthers (7-10, 7-5 Hockomock). Franklin goalie Dean Lawless stopped 12 shots.

She notched 3 goals, 3 assists, 2 ground balls and a caused turnover in a 17-2 win agains Dedham. Taylor Interrante scored four times with an assist, and Avery Quebec put up a goal and three assists fo the Hillers (12-4, 9-3 TVL). Hopkinton's Siya Bonala contributed 3 goals, 2 assists and 2 draw controls, and Abby Burke put up 2 goals, 2 assists, 6 draw controls and a ground ball.
She won the shot put javelin and 400 hurdles in a 75-69 win over North Middlesex. Samantha Mahoney was first in the duscus at 104 feet, 2 inches and the pole vault, while Lilli Rosenau crossed the line first in the 800 for the Panthers (1-5, 1-3 Mid-Wach B).
She found the net six times with an assist in a 13-6 win against Holliston. Payten Tripp distributed five assists, including her 100th career point, while Maggie Magennis contributed four goals and an assist for the Clockers (8-8, 8-5 TVL), Ashland's Ashley Forster scored twice, and Alannah Duffy made five saves.
