The biggest question facing every WNBA team in training camp
WNBA training camps open with key questions for each team.
Christen Miller, a highly rated defensive tackle from Georgia, is visiting the Green Bay Packers as part of their pre-draft evaluations. The Packers currently have three Georgia linemen on their roster and are showing strong interest in Miller ahead of the NFL draft.
Per NFL rules, the Green Bay Packers are allowed to host up to 30 draft-eligible players (excluding “local” prospects, such as those in the UW system or nearby regional schools such as Northern Illinois) for in-person visits. The Journal Sentinel is tracking the visits and supplying profiles based on information from sources and published reports.
GREEN BAY – The Green Bay Packers like players from Georgia. And they really like players from Georgia who play on the defensive line.
The Packers currently have three Georgia linemen – Devonte Wyatt, Warren Brinson and Nazir Stackhouse – on their 80-man roster.
So, it’s not surprising that they’re interested in Christen Miller, one of the top-rated defensive tackles in the NFL draft. Count him among the players the Packers are bringing in for top-30 pre-draft visits, according to KPRC 2 in Houston.
The 6-foot-4, 321-pound Miller played with Brinson and Stackhouse, starting 10 games in 2024, and then 14 last season after the other two moved on to the NFL. Miller had 50 tackles, including 7½ for loss in his final two years.

Miller played multiple positions at Georgia, as most defensive linemen there do, but he was consistently a force in the middle against the run. His quick get-off could result in him developing more pass rush success, especially if he is allowed to play off the nose.
The engaging Miller, who like Brinson, handles himself deftly in front of microphones, said he has grown up considerably since getting pulled over for going 30 mph over the speed limit in March 2023.
“When mistakes like that happen, it teaches you, you have to grow up fast, and I had to understand that decision I made when I was speeding, it not only affect me, but it affected my teammates and my family,” Miller said at the NFL scouting combine. “So, I had to understand that I have to be more intentional when I’m driving. If I’m going 10 [mph] over, I have to see that and be a man.”
Miller said coach Kirby Smart assigned him to 6:30 a.m. workouts, in addition to being fined and ordered to do community service by the court.
Miller had a chance to declare for the draft after his junior year and join Brinson and Stackhouse in the draft pool, but he decided he had more he needed to work on. Staying another year may have helped him solidify himself as a likely second-round pick.
Georgia's Christen Miller speaks to the media during the NFL scouting combine.
“I knew I wanted to graduate, I knew I wanted to be a leader for the team and be a captain for the team, and I knew I wasn’t ready to be an NFL player yet because I wasn’t moving like a pro yet,” he said. “I wasn’t writing my notes in the meeting room, I wasn’t taking care of pro business. Football stuff, I was doing what I was supposed to do, but I wanted to be a pro.
“When I came out this year, I wanted to be ready mentally, physically and being prepared.”
