Horse Tracks: Broncos Country gives high marks for team draft

Following the Broncos’ final pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, fans were pretty high on the team’s selections, with 50% giving a B grade, and even 31% granting an A.

Optimism for a team is always highest at this point in the season — returning players will be in their prime; new guys will be hungry; coaches will be sharp.

A championship is within reach.

While every team’s fanbase is generally equally dilusional, some teams really are in their Super Bowl window.

And that is true of the Broncos. Last year’s end result was disappointing, but if we’re being honest, a much better finish than most of us could have predicted or even hoped for. And it was so much fun getting there that the season was a whopping success no matter what.

We laughed when Sean Payton said in training camp he believed that team could go to the Super Bowl. And then they almost did.

And now that this team has shattered a lot of our expectations even with a young QB and young offense, there’s no holding back our optimism.

The health of Bo Nix is paramount, and all signs point to good news on that front. The wide receiver room got infinitely better by pairing Jaylen Waddle with Courtland Sutton and Marvin Mims Jr.

Bringing back JK Dobbins but also adding Jonah Coleman to join RJ Harvey signifies a potentially solid running back room. And then adding depth to key positions on defense ensures a strong performance throughout the season.
