Houston Texans Record Prediction Post-NFL Schedule Release

Following the bye week, the Texans take on the Los Angeles Chargers and Cleveland Browns on the road before playing host to the Indianapolis Colts and Baltimore Ravens. With the Chargers, Colts and Ravens all expected to contend for the postseason, it's reasonable to assume all three will be difficult games. The Texans drop two of the three games to get to an 8-3 record through 11 games.

There's a good chance the Texans get back on track and win the next three matchups. Houston faces the Pittsburgh Steelers and Washington Commanders on the road before hosting the Jacksonville Jaguars. Look for Houston to secure statement wins over 2025 playoff teams in Pittsburgh and Jacksonville and 2024 NFC championship game participants in the Commanders.

The final three games pose a perhaps the Texans' toughest test. The Texans travel to Philadelphia to face the Eagles on a short week on Thursday Night Football. Then they take on the Green Bay Packers on Monday with another road game. The two games could certainly mess with the routine for Houston.

The Texans rebound from road losses to the Eagles and Packers with a home win over the Tennessee Titans to get to a 12-5 record on the year.

Houston has not seen its franchise reach the AFC championship game since the expansion team joined the league in the early 2000s, but this could be the year the Texans finally do it. They will look to break out in the 2026 postseason.
