Angel Reese is not letting outside noise get to her.
The Atlanta Dream forward was a guest on the IMO podcast with former First Lady Michelle Obama and her brother, Craig Robinson, where she spoke about how, throughout her WNBA career, she has had some high and low moments.
"I'm getting pulled by the wins, but I'm also getting pulled by the losses, and how do I find a medium where I'm able to just cope with both?" Reese said.
Reese was recently traded to the Atlanta Dream last year after two seasons with the Chicago Sky.
During those low moments, several people would ask her how she's doing, but she remained optimistic.
"Everybody always asks me, like, 'Are you alright?' Like, yeah, I'm alright as I can be, and everything is not great, but I try to wake up every day and just be grateful for every moment," she continued. "Every moment hasn't been great, but I wouldn't change this life for anything because I've had some really good moments. And I don't want bad moments to outshine the good moments ... I try not to let the negative outshine the positive."
Despite having moments where there could have been uncertainty for the WNBA star, like when she took a chance on leavingMaryland to transfer to LSU. She ended up leading LSU to its first National Championship. Now, she's making another career adjustment and will be starting in Atlanta this WNBA season.
Reese has unwavering faith in herself and her decisions.
"I don't even let the negativity get to me. It doesn't bother me. You see it. I see it. We all see it ... I've grown to have a skin where you can't break me. You just can't break me," Reese said.
Angel Reese mentioned that she is trying to find a balance in coping with both wins and losses during her WNBA career.

"It just makes me go harder. I have so many goals," she continued. "It's like if I stop now, I proved you right, and I proved you right. And I have nothing to prove to anybody but myself. And I just know, like, I want to continue to do the things that I want to do. Nobody can – I'm not going to let the outside control my own narrative of what I want to be and what I wanna do."
Reese has made a name for herself on and off the court as she launched her own podcast, Unapologetically Angel in 2024, walked in the 2025 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, and has her own signature line with Reebok.
