How do the ACC baseball power rankings shape up in final week of ACC play

The final weekend of ACC regular season play is upon us, with multiple programs jockeying for seeding in the conference tournament.

Both Georgia Tech and North Carolina are in position to win the ACC regular-season crown. The rest of the league fights for favorable seeding, including a big weekend in the race for the double-bye top four seeds between Florida State and Miami in Tallahassee.

1. North Carolina

Record: 40-9-1 (20-7 ACC)

What to know: Louisville likely has the ACC Player of the Year in Tauge Davis, who set the single-season home run record, but that might be the only silverware the Cardinals will compete for after an inconsistent year, mainly hampered by injury.

13. Notre Dame

Record: 27-20 (11-16 ACC)

What to know: A strange season for the Irish, who at their best are a top-25 caliber team, ends with a showdown against Pitt and a chance to elevate conference tournament seeding.

14. Cal

What to know: Cal put together the most impressive win of the weekend, traveling to Virginia and beating the Cavs to set up a final weekend vs. Stanford that could catapult Cal up the standings or see them finish dead last.

15. Clemson

What to know: The Tigers stole a game against Florida State, but the Seminoles never truly looked out of control of the series, as Clemson's woes continue, and the postseason seems unlikely without a magical run in the ACC tournament.

16. Duke

What to know: The Blue Devils are the lone ACC program with a record below .500 and are tied for the worst conference record with Clemson. A tough opening season for Corey Muscara.
