PL Predictions: Brighton to send Spurs sliding towards the unthinkable
Brighton is set to face Tottenham this weekend, with predictions leaning towards a Brighton victory.
The Chicago Bears had an 11-6 record last season but struggled with consistency, facing multiple fourth-quarter deficits. Their dramatic wins were exciting but proved unsustainable, highlighting the need for a new strategy to achieve championship success.

It was clear to all NFL fans last season that the Chicago Bears struggled to be consistent.
Having won the NFC North division with an 11-6 record, they faced seven fourth-quarter deficits and still won.
This approach yielded some dramatic wins, but as seen in their overtime playoff loss to the Los Angeles Rams, it was ultimately unsustainable. While those games provided excitement, the Bears need a different formula to reach championship success.
The Bears do not necessarily have to be “dominant” as long as they remain consistent on a week-to-week basis, and here’s how they can achieve that:
While the Bears’ defense has shown its ability to create turnovers — finishing the season with a league-leading 33 takeaways — it has struggled with pressure and downfield coverage. With the additions of Coby Bryant and Devin Bush, the Bears’ front office has indicated that they’re making defense a priority in this offseason. These moves suggest an emphasis on improving speed and versatility at multiple levels.

Head coach Ben Johnson said at the owners meeting, “…we got to get a little bit better getting off the ball and getting after the quarterback…the tighter the coverage we can maintain, the better off we’re going to be there.”
Quarterback Caleb Williams will need to focus on developing his ability to make high-level throws and reduce critical errors in his third year. The key to performing consistently will be to use outside zone runs, which can help establish rhythm and set up more effective play-action opportunities.
Additionally, making balanced play-calling decisions combined with cutting down on penalties and mental mistakes can prevent stalled drives and keep the offense on schedule.
In previous years, the offensive line has been one of the team’s biggest weaknesses. In the 2025 season, the Bears’ success was built on an improved offensive line. Continued focus on the development of this until, while protecting Williams and creating a run-first identity, is essential to reliability. Controlling the line of scrimmage allows the offense to dictate games.
On the other side of the ball, the defensive line still needs to take a significant step forward. Generating pressure without relying heavily on blitzing will be crucial, as it allows the secondary to perform more effectively and limits opponents’ time to execute downfield plays.
If the Bears can turn these areas of focus into weekly habits rather than occasional flashes, they’ll put themselves in a much stronger position to contend deep into the postseason. Consistency will ultimately define their ceiling.
By tightening up on both sides of the ball and continuing to build, Chicago can change from an unpredictable team into one that is reliably competitive.
