Less than 24 hours later, the details of his injury have been officially announced.

During last night's contest between the Nuggets and Timberwolves, Anthony Edwards landed awkwardly in the second quarter. He tumbled to the ground and once Minnesota called a timeout, Edwards struggled to stand and walk, being helped off the court.
According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Edwards sustained a bone bruise and hyperextension in his left knee.

This will sideline Edwards for at least the rest of this series and the start of the next, should Minnesota beat Denver.
Anthony Edwards will be out for multiple weeks, per Charania's report.
The problem here is that multiple weeks is a very broad range. At best, Edwards is back in two weeks, which is partway through the conference semifinals. If the injury stretches to four or five weeks, however, then Edwards may not be back until the Western Conference finals or NBA Finals, should Minnesota make it there in the first place.
The timetable for this injury is all over the map. A study from the National Institute of Health had the median healing time of a bone bruise in the knee at 42.1 weeks over 80 patients.
This timetable was also used once the bruise could no longer be discerned. That is to say, Edwards may return before the injury is completely healed if it is safe to do so.
In the most mild cases, bone bruises in the knee can heal after a few weeks. Hyperextensions are typically even quicker.
Edwards' injury was the second of the night for the Timberwolves, who lost Donte DiVincenzo to a torn Achilles at the start of the game.
These two are the only starting guards in the Timberwolves rotation, meaning that two replacements are needed. The most obvious choice after watching Game 4 is Ayo Dosunmu, who came off the bench to drop 43 points in 42 minutes after DiVincenzo left.
Dosunmu is more of a shooting guard, however, meaning Mike Conley is likely the favorite to take over point guard duties. The 38-year-old veteran has served as the Timberwolves' point guard prior to DiVincenzo and could potentially resume this role again.
Minnesota is currently up 3-1 in its series with the Denver Nuggets. While securing a win will certainly be harder with a slimmer roster, should Minnesota hold on, it will meet the winner of the Spurs and Trail Blazers.
With the playoffs in full swing, the Timberwolves' schedule will continue so long as they keep winning.
