"My command, as a whole, has been spotty," Crochet told reporters. "I've gotten away with it a little this early in the year, but tonight they made me pay. It was weak contact, hard contact, walks, hit by pitch — a little bit of everything."

If Crochet has shoulder bursitis, the subset that Buehler had, there are three forms that could take place.
Chronic shoulder bursitis is the most common version, identified by repeated episodes of pain and inflammation stemming from overuse. This is likely to be the version that takes place for most MLB pitchers who use their arms in extreme and repeated manners.
Shoulder inflammation can also be tendonitis or a minor strain, and is not always a case of shoulder bursitis.
The recovery timeline varies drastically for an injury like this, with several variations. Should all of Crochet's recovery go swimmingly, it's likely a two-week absence for the Red Sox ace, who can return on May 11. In its worst form, Crochet could be out up to eight weeks or even months.
For fans, it's hard to know currently how severe Crochet's shoulder inflammation is. The most likely option is that fans will simply have to wait for more information to come out from the Red Sox coaching staff on Crochet's recovery.
