According to the USA TODAY college football coach salary database from October, Brohm made just under $6 million in total pay, which ranked 43rd nationally and sixth in the ACC. Based on current numbers, Brohm moving up to $6.55 million puts him at 38th in the country and fifth in the conference.
If Brohm is fired before Dec. 31, 2029, the university will owe him 90% of his total remaining salary. UofL will then owe Brohm 100% of his remaining salary if he's fired after that day but before his contract is up on Dec. 31, 2033.
If Brohm leaves Louisville before Dec. 31, 2027, he'll owe the school $3 million. Anything after that but before his contract expires will cost him $1 million.
