Vanderbilt coach Tim Corbin works with his team before a game against Louisville at Hawkins Field in Nashville, Tenn., Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
Corbin was credited with $2,047,379 in total compensation in 2024, compared with $2,123,797 in 2023. Part of that was due to a decline in bonus and incentive pay from $133,500 to $105,500.
Compared to 2023, when Vanderbilt went 19-11 in the SEC and won the SEC tournament, the Commodores went 13-17 in 2024 and 0-2 in the Clemson Regional.
During the 2024 season, Corbin was likely the SEC's highest-paid coach, as the next-highest salary was Kevin O'Sullivan's $1.755 million at Florida. But shortly after the conclusion of that season, Tennessee's Tony Vitello signed a contract that paid him $3.25 million. Vitello is now the manager of the San Francisco Giants.
It is hard to directly compare the numbers for Corbin and Vitello because Vitello's new salary only kicked in during the second half of 2024, while Corbin's covers the entirety of the calendar year.
