How much will the Detroit Lions pay first-round pick Blake Miller?
That's always a question on fans' minds in a league where salary cap questions are paramount. After all, the Lions selected Miller in the first place as a potential replacement for longtime left tackle Taylor Decker.
Earlier this offseason, Decker announced his plans to put off retirement and run it back for one more season, but when the Lions asked him if he was willing to take a pay cut, he declined, and instead asked to be released.

At that point, it became clear the Lions would probably look for a cheaper replacement in the draft, and that's what they found in Miller.
According to Spotrac, a website that specializes in player contracts, payrolls and salary caps, Miller will receive a four-year contract worth $21.8 million.
That money is fully guaranteed and will include a $12.3 million signing bonus.
The average salary for the deal is $5.45 million.
Decker made $16 million for the Lions last year and was due $14.9 million in base salary in 2026 with a $1.5 million roster bonus before the Lions approached him about taking a steep pay cut.
