Buffalo seized full control in Game 4 with a dominant 6-1 road win in Boston. The Sabres scored four times in the first period and never looked back, with Alex Tuch, Peyton Krebs, Bowen Byram, and Josh Doan all contributing offensively. Goaltender Alex Lyon stopped 23 shots, while Buffalo outshot Boston 19-5 in the opening period and overwhelmed the Bruins physically and with pace. It was the second straight game the Sabres won at TD Garden, outscoring Boston 9-2 across Games 3 and 4.

Boston now needs a response from its veteran core, especially David Pastrnak, who led the club with 99 regular-season points. Jeremy Swayman is also a major storyline after allowing six goals in Game 4 before being pulled. The Bruins did win Game 2 in Buffalo earlier in the series, proving they can handle the road environment, but they must generate far more sustained offense and stay out of the penalty box to extend the matchup.
For Buffalo, the chance to close out the series at KeyBank Center should create one of the loudest home atmospheres the franchise has seen in years. If the Sabres continue to dictate tempo and get balanced scoring, they’ll be in a strong position to finish the job Tuesday night.
This is a great NHL matchup that you will not want to miss; make sure to tune in and catch all the action.
