The Oilers responded under pressure in Game 5, earning a convincing 4-1 victory at Rogers Place. Leon Draisaitl scored twice, Evan Bouchard recorded three assists, and Connor Ingram stopped 29 shots in one of Edmonton’s most complete performances of the series. Zach Hyman and Vasily Podkolzin also scored as the Oilers finally slowed Anaheim’s transition game and played with the urgency expected from a veteran contender facing elimination.
The Oilers vs Ducks Game 6 starts at 10:00 PM ET on April 30, 2026.
The game will be broadcast on TNT and truTV.
You can live stream the game on DIRECTV.

Anaheim still controls the series after winning three straight earlier in the matchup, including a dramatic 4-3 overtime win in Game 4. The Ducks’ young core has been one of the biggest stories of the opening round, with Cutter Gauthier, Mason McTavish, and Lukas Dostal helping Anaheim move within one victory of its first playoff series win since 2017. Now the Ducks get a second chance to close it out in front of what should be a raucous home crowd.
The key storyline on Thursday is whether Connor McDavid and Draisaitl can push Edmonton through another elimination game, or if Anaheim’s speed, confidence, and home atmosphere can complete the upset. Momentum shifted back toward the Oilers in Game 5, but the pressure now belongs to both sides in one of the most compelling Game 6s of the first round.
