87.5 percent of the time, the Yankees begin the season with 25 wins in their first 36 games, they make the World Series. And with 11 wins in such seasons, the Yankees win the World Series 68.75 percent of the time after such a good start.

While this might not be a direct correlation, the Yankees' history suggests that the team has roughly a 68.75% chance of winning the World Series this season.

A lot more will go into their season, and they could still miss the playoffs. But their franchise history suggests the Yankees not only make the postseason, but also make a World Series appearance.
