Lakers Seek to Even Series vs. Thunder Thursday Night
Lakers look to even the series against Thunder this Thursday night.
Hypothetical discussions about a potential trade involving Jaylen Brown and Giannis Antetokounmpo suggest Milwaukee may seek draft capital and possibly expand the deal into a multi-team transaction.
If — and I want to stress that this is a hypothetical — any Brown-for-Antetokounmpo conversation actually does materialize in the future, multiple rival team strategists this week suggested that the likely appeal for Milwaukee, in addition to draft capital from the Celtics, would be to move Brown on or expand such a deal into a multi-team transaction. There certainly isn't much logic, when you think about it, for Milwaukee to try to build around Brown as he nears 30 if the Celtics have just paired Antetokounmpo with Tatum. You wouldn't part with the greatest player in franchise history not named Kareem Abdul-Jabbar just to try to be a mere playoff team.
