Keyshawn Davis will face Nahir Albright in a rematch this Saturday, May 16, headlining Top Rank’s first full show on DAZN from Norfolk, Virginia, Davis’ stomping grounds.
Keyshawn (14-0, 10 KO) beat Albright back in 2023, but it was a close, competitive fight, and there were a lot of people who felt that Davis, then 24 and with a lot of hype behind him, looked a little normal. The win was later changed to a no-decision when Keyshawn failed a drug test, testing positive for marijuana, receiving a suspension.
The two later had an altercation after Albright beat Keyshawn’s brother, Kelvin Davis, in 2025. Albright said that Keyshawn and Keon Davis jumped him in his locker room. Keyshawn, for his part, denied the physicality he was accused of, but said his actions were wrong.
Now 27, Davis says he wants the stoppage this time, to prove he’s fully back and leave no questions.
“We’re here because Nahir did a great job against Frank Martin, his people kept calling my people, and we picked up his phone call. That’s why we’re here,” Keyshawn said at today’s press conference.
“I’m happy. I have a great opportunity to perform under these bright lights. I’ve stopped my last three opponents that I’ve fought and this is going to be another stop.”
Davis also brushed off any worries stemming from the first fight in 2023.
Anyone who steps into a ring with me, I’m going to stop them.

“It’s 2026. That doesn’t matter,” he said. “I had a win over him and they decided to take it back. I’m going to knock him out in 2026. … Anyone who steps into a ring with me, I’m going to stop them. I can stop anyone who gets in the ring with me.”
But Keyshawn had further praise for Albright, too, going back to Albright’s controversial draw with Frank Martin, which Keyshawn says he felt Albright won.
“I thought he was going to beat Frank. I went back and watched the fight and I thought he beat him,” he stated. “I thought he did a good job, but they aren’t on my level. I’m not here to go back-and-forth. You can say whatever you want to say, but I’m going to knock him out.”
Albright: ‘I’ve improved a lot’
The 30-year-old Albright (17-2-1, 7 KO) believes that 2023 was no fluke, of course, and that he’s only gotten better.
“I showed a glimpse of who I am [against Frank Martin]. Even that night, I could bring more to the table but I showed the world a glimpse of my talent, and they are going to keep seeing it,” he said.
“I’ve improved a lot. I got stronger, faster, and my IQ improved. It’s going to show Saturday night. … I’m going to get my hand raised Saturday night, and the whole world is going to see it. You all can laugh, but Saturday night you are going to see.”
