The Boston Celtics could be looking at centers in free agency after a first-round exit in the NBA playoffs. After the season ended, Brad Stevens noted that he thinks the Celtics need to add to their team to have a bigger impact at the rim.
“My general feeling watching us play in really each of the last two playoffs — the second round against New York, even against Orlando in the first round (last year) — was we had a hard time generating really good looks on that first shot,” Stevens said on Wednesday. “So we’ve got to figure out a way to do better in that, and I think that one of the things that we’ve got to figure out is how to have more of an impact at the rim. And I think we do need to add to our team to do that.”

The veteran center averaged 5.7 points and 8.8 rebounds in 19.6 minutes per game this season. He is not the flashiest addition, but could be an upgrade over Neemias Queta, who started 75 games last season. Robinson started just 16 games for the Knicks, but received Sixth Man of the Year votes.
He could be a solid addition if the Celtics miss out on Antetokounmpo, but Robb noted that the Knicks may not want to let him go. However, the option for the Celtics in free agency may be limited, and they may need to overpay.
