Anthony Richardson still remains a member of the Indianapolis Colts following the 2026 NFL draft. However, ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler shared what Richardson is looking for in his next team.
Ideally, Richardson wants to land in an "extension of the McVay-Shanahan-LaFleur tree from which to learn," Fowler wrote.
Recently, we've seen Malik Willis with Matt LaFleur in Green Bay and Mac Jones with Kyle Shanahan in San Francisco give their careers a jolt operating within those similar offensive schemes.
ESPN's Stephen Holder mentioned Green Bay as a possible trade destination for Richardson.
Richardson and the Colts mutually agreed to seek a trade during the NFL combine in late February. However, Richardson's market has been "soft," according to Adam Schefter, with no deal being done before or during the draft a sign of that.
“Nothing surprises me anymore,’’ Ballard said after the draft, via FOX59. “We’ll have a little patience here and see what happens. We’ll let it play out as it does over time.’’
When speaking with reporters at the NFL league meetings a few weeks ago, the idea of Richardson remaining with the team. The Colts want to ensure they are getting a fair return for him.
