2026 NFL Draft: Who are the fantasy winners and losers?
The Cincinnati Bengals selected Navy defensive lineman Landon Robinson with the 226th pick in the seventh round of the NFL draft, considered a significant steal as he was projected to go much earlier.
The Cincinnati Bengals appeared to get a major steal with their final pick of the NFL draft in the seventh round, where they grabbed Navy defensive lineman Landon Robinson at No. 226.
Robinson and the Bengals were heavily connected and this one was almost a surprise that it didn’t happen sooner.
Hence, the talks about a steal. Over at PFF’s big board, Robinson was the No. 122 overall prospect. Not a bad get, to beat the projection by about 100 spots, no?
Robinson is very much a smaller, pass-rushing defensive tackle. Which, in Cincinnati, always brings out the Geno Atkins comparisons.
For now, Bengals fans will just have to be happy to hear that Lance Zierlein of NFL.com penning this in his summary: “While his sack production might not translate, he's disruptive when active. Robinson has the talent to grab a roster spot as a 1-technique in the right scheme.”
It’s hard not to like the feel-good story that is Robinson going to the Bengals. But it’s equally as impressive at the value they found at a position of need.
While the Bengals traded for Dexter Lawrence and will rely on ends to kick inside and help rush the passer from the interior, guys like Kris Jenkins and McKinnley Jackson have underwhelmed. Robinson adds more pass-rush potential to the depth chart in a big way.
As a whole, it’s one of the better outright picks of the entire draft for the Bengals.
The Bengals selected Landon Robinson due to his strong potential as a pass-rushing defensive tackle, which aligns with their needs.
Landon Robinson was ranked as the No. 122 overall prospect but was picked 226th, making him a significant steal for the Bengals.
Landon Robinson is often compared to Geno Atkins due to his similar playing style as a smaller, pass-rushing defensive tackle.
