The Pittsburgh Steelers are hosting Arkansas Razorbacks quarterback Taylen Green on a visit.
Pittsburgh has been linked to drafting a quarterback at some point during the 2026 NFL Draft, and now the team is doing some extra work on some prospects.
NFL insider Tom Pelissero reported on X on Monday that the Steelers are hosting Green on a top-30 visit.
“Former Arkansas QB Taylen Green is visiting the Steelers today, per source,” Pelissero wrote. “One of the top testers at the combine, Green previously visited the Ravens and the Cowboys, who were also among several teams to work him out privately.”
Green was the starter at Arkansas for two seasons after three years at Boise State. The dual-threat quarterback threw for 2,714 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions last season, while rushing for 777 yards and 8 touchdowns. His best season came in 2024 when he threw for 3,154 yards.
The 6-foot-6 quarterback was named Mountain West Freshman of the Year in 2022 and was the 2022 Frisco Bowl MVP, as well as the 2024 Liberty Bowl MVP.
Green is projected to be selected in Round 4-5, according to NFL.com's draft analyst Lance Zierlein. The former Arkansas quarterback would be a developmental quarterback for the Steelers and add some insurance to the quarterback room in case Aaron Rodgers doesn’t return.
The 2026 NFL Draft is set for April 23-25 in Pittsburgh.
