The New England Patriots added more depth to their roster in the 2026 NFL Draft and through undrafted free agent signings.
One of the free agents the Patriots signed was wide receiver Kyle Dixon out of Culver-Stockton, who is a former baseball player. Given that Dixon played at a relatively unknown school, there wasn’t much on him.
However, after signing with the Patriots, NFL analyst Nick Baumgardner of The Athletic named him the UDFA to watch for New England.
"A 6-foot-2, 220-pound NAIA receiver with a 40 1/2-inch vertical and 10-11 broad jump, Dixon had a combined 143 catches for 2,394 yards and 24 touchdowns during his last two college seasons,” Baumgarnder wrote in an article published on Saturday. “Originally a college baseball player at SIU-Edwardsville, Dixon is newer to football but highly intriguing.”
In two seasons at Culver-Stockton, he had over 1000 receiving yards in both years, but the level of competition wasn’t the best, so how he will translate to the NFL is a big question mark.
If Dixon can impress in OTAs and training camp, he could earn himself a spot on the practice roster and look to eventually earn his way onto the 53-man roster.
Regardless, Dixon will add more depth to the Patriots’ wide receiver room, which is led by , , and Kayshon Botte.
