Iowa women's basketball hosting Lindenwood transfer portal guard

Iowa women's basketball will reportedly be hosting former Lindenwood guard Ellie Brueggemann on a weekend visit. On3's Talia Goodman shared the news.

Brueggemann is part of a trio of Iowa transfer portal visitors that also includes former Georgia guard Dani Carnegie and former Oklahoma State shooting guard Amari Whiting.

The 5-foot-11 guard from Owasso, Okla., averaged 14 points per game on career-best shooting figures of 49.4% from the floor and 44% from 3-point range. The senior-to-be also averaged 3.1 assists, 2.6 rebounds, and 1 steal per game in 33 contests with the Lions last season.

In addition to Iowa, On3's Talia Goodman reports that Oklahoma State, Nebraska and Indiana also plan to host Brueggemann on transfer portal visits.

Right now, Iowa's backcourt features only Chit-Chat Wright, Taylor Stremlow and Journey Houston. If the Hawkeyes can get Brueggemann's commitment out of the transfer portal, it would add some much-needed depth and shooting to the Hawkeyes' backcourt.
