'I'd run the M4 naked' - Williams targets snooker history
Mark Williams vows to run naked down the M4 if he wins a fourth world title!
Hank Brown is vying to be Iowa's starting quarterback, expressing confidence in his development and understanding of the offense. He aims to improve his mechanics and chemistry with receivers after gaining experience last season.
Who is going to be Iowaâs next starting quarterback? Many Iowa fans are asking that exact same question this offseason.
If you ask Hank Brown, well, he is very confident that he can be the next starting quarterback.
â(This offseason Iâm) mechanically just working through my base, my lower body, my lower half when Iâm throwing,â Brown said. âJust working through that and just the chemistry I have with the receivers, and grow with some of these new guys. I feel like I was kind of thrown into it last year and I loved that. I enjoyed it. I think I grew a lot from that, but I was obviously still learning the offense and learning the system and what Coach Lester wanted out there. So this year, having a year under my belt and knowing the system a lot better, and being able to focus on more of the details and what the defense is doing, and just working on reacting better to the gray area.â
Hank Brown, a junior, appeared in three games for Iowa a year ago. He completed 11-21 passes. He said he learned some valuable lessons watching Mark Gronowski.
âJust learning from him how well he led first of all, and then just the relationships he had with the guys on the team,â Brown said. âI think he did a really good job of pouring into different guys on and off the field, and I think that was a big attribute with him.â
Kirk Ferentz has made it clear. Whichever quarterback gives the Hawkeyes the best chance to be successful consistently on offense will be named the starter.
âIf you learn one thing in football, whether itâs pro, college, it doesnât matter, thereâs no set way to do things,â Ferentz said. âItâs about playing within yourself, who you are, and maximizing what it is that you bring to the game.â
