There are issues across departments. Apart from Jasprit Bumrah, the bowling unit has been expensive, while the batting has failed to click collectively. Centuries from Quinton de Kock and Tilak Varma are the only major positives. Suryakumar Yadav has struggled for rhythm, and captain Hardik Pandya has yet to make a sustained impact with both bat and ball.

In contrast, Sunrisers Hyderabad arrive with momentum. After losing three of their first four matches, they have surged back with four straight wins and now look settled.

The return of Pat Cummins has strengthened their attack, while Eshan Malinga and Sakib Hussain have added depth. With form on their side, SRH will be confident of challenging MI’s record in this fixture.

Rohit Sharma remains a doubt after missing the last three matches with a hamstring injury. He has resumed training and is progressing well, but a final call will be taken on match day.

In team news, MI have signed South African spinner Keshav Maharaj as a replacement for Mitchell Santner and could consider Will Jacks as a match-up option against SRH’s left-handers.
