It didn’t take long for one of Notre Dame football’s top 2027 prospects to decide when they’ll make a commitment, and this one is big as it’s a 5-star prospect.
Just recently the Irish saw a huge crystal ball pick go in their favor for 5-star offensive tackle Oluwasemilore Olubobola, and on Sunday he announced via On3’s Hayes Fawcett that he’ll make his announcement on Tuesday. Notre Dame is one of three teams that will have its hat on the table, as the 6-foot, 6-inch and 295-pounder is also considering Miami and Texas A&M.
The Irish have been on quite the run with elite offensive tackles, as they’ve signed one in each of the last five recruiting cycles. If Olubobola joins Notre Dame’s class, he would be extending the impressive streak.
As the nation’s No. 15 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite, he’s one of the best players regardless of position in the class. It would be another huge recruiting win for Notre Dame if Olubobola does commit on Tuesday, as the trenches would get even stronger with his verbal.
