Isa Torres of the Florida State Seminoles has been named the ACC Softball Player and Defensive Player of the Year. The Seminoles won four of the five ACC Player of the Year awards this season, highlighting their dominance in the conference.

The Florida State Seminoles softball team won the ACC regular-season championship, and they have now dominated the ACC Player of the Year awards, winning four of the five.
Shortstop Isa Torres was named the ACC Player and Defensive Player of the Year, Jazzy Francik the Pitcher of the Year, and Lonni Alameda the Coach of the Year. It is the second time that they have won four or more awards, joining the 2017 team.
They were extremely well represented on the All-ACC teams, with eight different players making them, tying the school record from 2023 and 2024. Torres, Francik, and Jaysoni Beachum all earned First Team All-ACC honors, while Ashtyn Danley, Shelby McKenzie, and Marin Heller all earned Second Team All-ACC honors. Anna Hinde and Hayley Griggs made the All-ACC Third Team, with Griggs, Heller, and Hinde all making the All-Freshmen Team.
Torres has had one of the best seasons in program history, hitting .547 with 16 home runs, 17 doubles, and six triples. She is third in the country in batting average, fourth in on-base percentage (.608), and eighth in slugging percentage (1.031). She broke the NCAA record with 16 consecutive hits and reached base in 23 straight plate appearances. She has not made an error this season. She is the 10th Seminole to be the ACC Player of the Year and third to be the Defensive Player of the Year.
Francik went 20-2 with a 1.85 ERA in 128.2 innings, making 34 appearances and 21 starts. She threw four complete games, including three no-hitters. She held opponents to a .185 batting average, striking out 96 batters and walking 60. She is the eighth Seminole to be the ACC Pitcher of the Year.
It is the eighth time Alameda has won the award, including three of the past four seasons. They went 21-3 in conference games, winning their 19th regular-season championship.
Beachum hit .404 with eight home runs, 11 doubles, and 59 RBI. She has a .543 on-base percentage and has walked 47 times, with eight strikeouts. The Tallahassee native has reached base in 42 straight games.
Danley did it all for FSU, going 12-1 in the circle with a 2.12 ERA in 86.0 innings pitched. She also hit .352 with eight home runs, 14 doubles, and 47 RBI. McKenzie hit .303 with seven home runs, 27 RBI, and 29 runs scored.
Heller has been excellent as a true freshman, hitting .353 with two home runs, 15 doubles, and a .451 on-base percentage. She started the first 48 games before suffering an injury. Griggs hit .285 with five home runs, nine doubles, 28 RBI, 35 runs scored, and 13 stolen bases. Hinde hit .333 with seven home runs, five doubles, 37 RBI, and 18 runs.
