As Keyshawn Davis and Nahir Albright get set to fight this weekend, Top Rank continues to promote the fight as an opportunity for vindication for Albright, who previously fought Davis and his brother (the most recent of which led to an ugly post-fight altercation). Keyshawn hasn’t been all too thrilled with that angle of the story line being used to promote this fight, but it’s been inescapable to this point. Here’s some of what both fighters had to say during today’s final press conference.
“I mean, that night I would say was definitely unfortunate. I just did my thing. I did my thing that night and he came to my room and I ain’t get a chance to really enjoy the night that I worked so hard for. So, it feels good to be able to get that back in the ring.”
“I’ve improved a lot. I got stronger, faster, my IQ improved, everything. It’s going to show Saturday night.”
“It’s 2026, so that really doesn’t even really matter. I got a win over him and they decided to take it back. So, again, I’m going to knock him out in 2026.”
During their last fight, an altercation occurred when Keyshawn Davis stormed into Nahir Albright's locker room, overshadowing Albright's victory.
The rematch between Nahir Albright and Keyshawn Davis is scheduled for February 21, 2026.
Nahir Albright hopes to achieve vindication and reclaim the enjoyment of his hard work in the ring during the rematch with Keyshawn Davis.
