Liverpool have already signed their next Steven Gerrard and he cost just £60m.
The Reds' former no.8 pretty much summed up what it meant to play for the club.
Gerrard was a leader, a fighter, and someone who could pull off moments of absolute magic.
Not many midfielders have ever mixed power, technique, and sheer passion the way he did and that’s exactly why he meant so much at Anfield.
He had this rare ability to do everything. Tackle, spray passes, drive forward, lift the crowd - you name it. When things got tough, he was often the one dragging Liverpool through it all on his own. His leadership spoke for itself, but it was those unforgettable goals that really stuck with people.
There was just something different about the way he hit the ball. Clean, powerful, and effortless, even from distance. Whether it was a rocket into the top corner or a dipping strike from 30 yards, you always felt he had it in him to score from anywhere.
And at any time. These goals came in big moments. Big games, big nights, big pressure.
When Gerrard lined one up from range, you just knew something might happen.
That feeling? That’s what made him special.
Now for a long time Liverpool have searched for Gerrard's heir. Someone with the same capability, and same passion and drive. A true leader in every essence of the word.
There were calls for Jay Spearing or Jordan Rossiter to be the second comings. But those were just fanciful and premature wishes.
Trent Alexander-Arnold and have probably come the closest from the academy.

But the true next Gerrard is not them.
It's Dominik Szoboszlai.
Signed for just £60m (Sky Sports), Szoboszlai was always destined to take the throne from Gerrard.
He had a quote attributed to the Liverpool man tattooed on his forearm. He took on the mantle of the no.8 shirt, and he has the ability to score goals from long-range and from set-pieces in the same way Gerrard was able to.
Now he's living up to the shirt on his back with his performances.
The way he plays on the pitch, the passion that he has is very Gerrard esque. On top of that he's got that long-range ability and he can make an impact in the final third.
He got 23 goal contributions in 50 games this season. So many from set-pieces as well becoming a key and instrumental figure on the pitch for the Reds.
But up until that game at Old Trafford on Sunday night, people will still have had their doubts about whether Szoboszlai was truly capable of living up to Gerrard's name.
Well after that Szoboszlai performance, it's now official. He's the next Gerrard.
During a terrible day for Liverpool, Szoboszlai was the only one that stepped up. He scored, assisted and was the best player on the pitch.
It was a true Gerrard esque performance. The only problem was that the rest of his teammates did not live up to the same standards.
But if there is one silver lining from the result at Old Trafford, it's Szoboszlai finally stepping into Gerrard's shoes and making it official that he is the Liverpool legend's second coming.
