Telegraph journalist Matt Law is not a Chelsea fan, but he watches the team every week and was as annoyed as anyone about the recent way the players gave up on Liam Rosenior and sacrificed their season to get rid of him.
âThrough their own petty minded selfishness, ridiculous crybaby behaviour, theyâve trashed their own league season,â Law said on the London is Blue podcast.
âIf they donât somehow get through the back door and back into the Champions League⊠one of the most stupid things about this, the most brainless part: their contracts are heavily dependent on qualifying for the Champions League. They are on massive incentive based contracts. So theyâve shot themselves in the foot financially. Itâs insane.â
