The Jacksonville Icemen's 2026-27 ECHL season starts on October 17 against the Savannah Ghost Pirates, with the home opener on Halloween against the Atlanta Gladiators. The schedule features 72 games, including 36 home matches at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.
The Jacksonville Icemen released the schedule for the club's 10th season in ECHL hockey, beginning the 2026-27 home campaign on Halloween against the Atlanta Gladiators.
South Division battles against familiar foes like the Florida Everblades, Greenville Swamp Rabbits and Orlando Solar Bears dominate the 72-game schedule, which includes 36 home matchups inside VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena between October and April. The first four games, beginning Oct. 17 against the Savannah Ghost Pirates, are all on the road.
The Icemen will make only one trip outside the ECHL South Division, traveling to the Toledo Walleye from March 5-7. Non-division teams coming to Jacksonville will be the Kansas City Mavericks (Feb. 26-28) and the Greensboro Gargoyles (March 17 and 19).
The schedule includes 26 games on Saturdays, 20 on Fridays, 12 games on Sundays, nine on Wednesdays, three on Thursdays and two on Tuesdays. All home games are at 7 p.m., except for three Sunday games at 3 p.m. and the two School Day games (Tuesday, Nov. 3 vs. Savannah and Thursday, Feb. 11 vs. Orlando) at 10:30 a.m.
In a scheduling oddity, the Icemen will meet the division champion Everblades in five consecutive games between Dec. 11-19. Orlando is the most frequent opponent with 15 meetings, followed by Atlanta and the South Carolina Stingrays (12 each), Florida and Greenville (nine each) and Savannah (seven).
The Icemen finished the 2025-26 in fifth in the South Division, missing out on the playoffs for the first time in five years.
