Nottingham Forest's 5-0 win over Sunderland boosts relegation hopes
Jadarian Price was selected by the Seattle Seahawks as the 32nd overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, making history alongside Jeremiyah Love, who was picked 3rd by the Arizona Cardinals. This marks the first time two running backs from the same school were drafted in the same round.
The Seattle Seahawks have themselves a brand new running back by the name of Jadarian Price. Seattle had plans to move out of the first round, but when a trade to their liking failed to materialize, they stayed put and addressed their most glaring need at pick No. 32 overall.
One of the best parts of any NFL draft includes the incredible stories that come from it. And with Seattle's selection of Price, they helped make history. You see, earlier in round one, the Arizona Cardinals took another running back from Notre Dame by the name of Jeremiyah Love at No. 3 overall. When Seattle picked Price 29 spots later, it became the first time one school has ever produced two running backs in the same draft... let alone the same round!
The grand irony, of course, being that the two Notre Dame teammates are now NFC West division rivals!
There's plenty of chatter online from disgruntled fans and national media figures (who barely pay attention to the Seahawks anyways) who are critiquing the pick. They say the Seahawks wasted a first round pick on a back-up running back. Yes, Jadarian Price was technically the back-up for the Irish. He was only the back-up due to the fact a literal Top 3 NFL draft pick was a head of him! Had Jadarian Price played anywhere else in the country, he would have been the starter and an unquestioned first round pick.
Instead, Price stayed all three years at Notre Dame behind Love. His loyalty to the Fighting Irish was specifically praised by Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald and general manger John Schneider.

Jadarian Price was selected by the Seattle Seahawks at pick No. 32, while Jeremiyah Love was picked by the Arizona Cardinals at No. 3.
He was a backup due to the presence of a top NFL draft pick ahead of him, but he would have been a starter at many other schools.
