The Jacksonville Jaguars are set to face the 2025 AFC champion, the New England Patriots, in Week 3 of the 2026 NFL season. This matchup is part of the early schedule release for the upcoming season.
The Jacksonville Jaguars will reportedly face the 2025 AFC champion early on in the 2026 regular season.
While we await the full schedule release, NFL insider Jordan Schultz is reporting who the New England Patriots' opponents are during the first three games of the season.
According to Schultz, the Patriots will be traveling to Jacksonville for a matchup with the Jaguars in Week 3.
The Patriots finished last season with a record of 14-3, which included winning 13 of their final 14 regular-season games. New England earned the AFC's one seed in the playoffs and made their way to the Super Bowl, where they eventually lost to Seattle.
New England has had a fairly active offseason up to this point.
"The Patriots had a busy offseason improving the offensive line depth, while also adding two promising young playmakers at edge rusher and tight end," wrote Danny Jaillet of Patriots Wire.
The Patriots also added wide receiver Romeo Doubs, safeties Kevin Byard and Jaylinn Hawkins, and defensive tackle Khyiris Tonga in free agency.
The Jaguars will play the Patriots in Week 3 of the 2026 NFL season.
The Patriots finished last season with a record of 14-3, winning 13 of their final 14 games.
The Patriots lost to the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl.
