Jaguars UDFA profiles: Can WR Michael Wortham make 53-man roster push?
The Jacksonville Jaguars announced that they signed 18 undrafted free agents following the conclusion of the 2026 NFL draft. Let's take a closer look at these players and highlight why each could make a potential roster push.

Quick breakdown
During the 2023 and 2024 seasons, Wortham totaled just 32 targets at Eastern Washington, but this past year at Montana, he took on a major role within the offense. Wortham finished the 2025 season recording 100 targets. He was extremely efficient as a pass-catcher, hauling in 80 of those passes, while totaling 1,137 yards with nine touchdowns. Most of his career snaps came from the slot. Wortham averaged an impressive 14.2 yards per catch last season.
To go along with his contributions on offense, Wortham also had 29 attempts as a kick returner and eight return attempts on punts. He averaged 25.5 yards per return on kicks and 13.9 yards per return on punts, according to PFF.

Wortham, who played quarterback in high school, is capable of being used in Wildcat looks, zone-read concepts and quick-game throws or gadget passes. He can return kicks but is an average threat in that department. Could Michael Wortham make a roster push with the Jaguars?
If Step 1 for a UDFA when it comes to making the 53-man roster is performing well throughout training camp, then Step 2 is that the player must be at a position where there is a roster spot or two up for grabs. Before the draft, the receiver position fit into that bucket, but not so much anymore. The Jaguars would select two wide receivers, taking Josh Cameron and CJ Williams.
Those two, along with Parker Washington, Jakobi Meyers, Brian Thomas Jr., and Travis Hunter, account for six roster spots already. Perhaps with Hunter playing cornerback as well, the Jaguars keep an additional wideout for depth, which may be Wortham's best chance to make the 53-man roster. Wortham showcasing his ability to contribute on special teams will play an important role in any potential roster push that might take place.
