Ja’Kobi Lane's physical talent will make him a weapon for Ravens

Coming into the NFL draft, many analysts were not that high on Ja'Kobi Lane, even with his elite physical makeup. He was productive at USC, and he did everything in the draft process to make himself a high-end prospect. In the end, he still became the Ravens' treasure after sliding to Round 3.

Ravens Wire's Geoffrey A. Knox highlights how Ja'Kobi Lane brings clear advantages to the Ravens' offense in a recent article. Here is what he had to say:

"Of course, the Ravens weren't just drafting sentiment. Lane's physical tools stand on their own. At 6-foot-4, he already brings the size teams covet at the position, but what truly separates him is something you can’t teach. His hands. Measuring in at 10½ inches, Lane reportedly owns the largest hands of any wide receiver in this year’s draft class, giving him a natural advantage in contested catch situations.

That combination of size and catch radius immediately makes him an intriguing option, particularly in the red zone and on third-down attempts."

Zay Flowers is a top 15 reciever in the NFL and he has been productive with Lamar Jackson since joining the Ravens. However there still comes limitations with Zay Flowers as yiur best weapon. He does have drop issues, and he tends to fumble more than he should.

Adding a weapon like Jakobi Lane makes a huge difference, as his physical makeup could lead him to become Lamar's go-to guy in crunch time. Zay Flowers will draw the attention, but I believe that quickly, NFL defenses will learn about Jakobi Lane, and he could be such an effective weapon for Lamar given his elite official tools.
