Jannik Sinner’s 2026 campaign is shaping up to be a special one. His level of consistency and success has put him firmly in the conversation among the sport’s elite.
Sinner extended his winning streak to 17 matches after beating Alcaraz in Monte-Carlo, adding another title after earlier triumphs at Indian Wells and the Miami Open.
Now ranked number one in the world, Sinner has only suffered two losses this season, falling to Novak Djokovic and Jakub Mensik.
His latest title also brought him level with Andre Agassi and Andy Murray in career victories.

Jannik Sinner picked up his seventh different ATP 1000 tournament win with his victory at the Monte-Carlo Masters, leaving just two left on his list.
The Italian is still chasing first-time wins at the Madrid Open and the Italian Open, both of which come before Roland Garros on the calendar.
This victory also brought him level with Murray and Agassi’s achievements at Masters events.
Murray fell short only in Monte-Carlo and Rome, while Agassi never managed to win either Monte-Carlo or Hamburg during his time on tour.
Although Sinner’s latest win gives him eight Masters titles overall, he still has a way to go to match the career totals of either player.
Agassi finished with 17 Masters titles across his career, while Murray ended up with 14 by the time he was done.
Sinner has eight Masters titles to his name, but there were a few more opportunities that slipped through his grasp.
His only loss at a tournament he hasn’t yet won came at the Italian Open, where Alcaraz got the better of him in 2025.
Another defeat to Alcaraz followed at the Cincinnati Open, although that one was cut short when Sinner had to retire due to illness.
He’s also been beaten twice in Miami, falling to Hubert Hurkacz in 2021 and Daniil Medvedev in 2023.
