Jaylen Brown generated major controversy online after Bostonâs Game 7 defeat against Philadelphia during the first round of the NBA playoffs.
The Celtics star criticised Joel Embiid during livestream sessions, claiming the centerâs flopping was repeatedly rewarded by officials throughout the playoff series against Boston.
Brown also suggested NBA referees had an agenda against him, which eventually led to the league fining him $50,000 for publicly criticising officiating after the series ended.

Brown addressed the punishment on Wednesday and made it clear he was not changing his stance despite the financial penalty handed down by the NBA following his livestream comments.
âThey fined me $50k. Season is over. Embiid cooked us. Iâm moving on, but the inconsistency of the officiating between playoffs and regular season is not just something thatâs been talked about by me,â said the 29-year-old.
The forward also suggested he remains prepared to continue speaking publicly about officiating concerns in the future if he believes the issue deserves more attention around the league.
