Jeremiyah Love expressed excitement about the possibility of joining the Washington Commanders in the upcoming NFL Draft. He believes he would form a strong duo with quarterback Jayden Daniels.
The Washington Commanders are preparing for the 2026 NFL Draft, which is now just one day away. However, even as we approach start time, there's no clear consensus as to who the Commanders will take with the No. 7 pick.
According to the Mock Draft Database, Ohio State wide receiver Carnell Tate is the most common mock selection for the Commanders. However, one player who has been getting some momentum to go to the Commanders is running back Jeremiyah Love.
Love is the best running back prospect in this class, and some even consider him the best overall talent. The Commanders did add Rachaad White and Jerome Ford to the running back room this offseason, but neither of those players is a transformative talent like Love is expected to be.
Recently, Love spoke with the media about his visit with Washington and had nothing but positive things to say.
"Washington was great. I got to meet some great guys, talk to some great coaches, a great owner," said Love. "I'd be blessed to go there. I feel like me and Jayden Daniels would be a very good duo."
This isn't the first time Love has spoken positively about the Commanders and Daniels. At the combine, Love mentioned that Daniels was the coolest person he met that weekend, so it's clear the Notre Dame product would love to play with the young quarterback.
Of course, there's no guarantee Love will even be available for the Commanders. The Tennessee Titans have been the most common landing spot for Love in mock drafts, and it's even been reported that the Arizona Cardinals could take Love with the No. 3 pick. If Love somehow gets past the Titans and Cardinals, then the New York Giants at No. 5 would be another potential landing spot.
Still, it's hard not to get excited thinking about an offense featuring Love, Daniels, Terry McLaurin, Chig Okonkwo, and whoever else is added during this draft.
