The New York Jets are busy trying to shift the narrative surrounding them, with Aaron Glenn and general manager Darren Mougey doing their best.
But the Jets made an odd decision last week as the NFL Draft comes into focus...they canceled a 30 visit with David Bailey.
For most, that signals the Jets are taking Arvell Reese at No. 2 and not Bailey, with most mock drafts having the Jets taking either of the two. Still, canceling a visit is a little odd, right? Wouldn't the franchise want to know more about a player they are potentially drafting?
Well, Mougey revealed why the team decided to cancel Bailey's visit.
"We had good touch points with (Bailey) at the combine," Mougey said via NFL.com. "We went to his pro day, had a good dinner with him. We were just kinda juggling our 30 (visits) and how to use them.
"I wouldn't look too much into a cancellation because there were other ones we may have changed as well."

Jets not taking Bailey?
In truth, we have no idea, and the fact that New York didn't have a 30 visit with Bailey and claimed it got all the necessary info on a player who could be a key figure for the franchise for the next decade, that is a little odd.
Of course, they could simply feel comfortable with what they know about Bailey and use that visit for another draft prospect.
Still, it hasn't stopped many from concluding that New York is taking Reese at No. 2 overall, and it is hard to shift from that mindset.
Time will tell if this was the right move for the Jets, but canceling a visit with one of the best defensive players in the draft is a little odd.
